“The only constant in the world is change”- India.Arie

Two months ago saw some big changes in the Salt Lake Yoga community. One of the studios I was teaching at, Prana Yoga, was forced to close leaving hundreds of yogis without a place to call home. I was so excited when I was asked to join the teaching staff at Prana last year, as I truly respected the yoga philosophy that was taught there and wanted to be part of that community that valued traditional yoga teachings, but with a modern spin. So when they closed, I was really sad that I no longer would be able to teach there, and that so many students were displaced.

Centered City Yoga (where I completed my 500 hr training), however, stepped up to the plate and invited the Prana Yoga community to merge with theirs- Prana teachers moved onto the CCY schedule, and all Prana passes were honored. While I did not make the move over to Centered City Yoga, I think this joint community is a benefit for Salt Lake at large.

During this time, I realized that I wanted to get back to teaching my other love, pilates. I had taken a break for personal reasons, but the time was right to jump back in.

Sooo… I am very happy to announce that I will soon be on the schedule at BURN Pilates for 3 classes a week! BURN is a hip power pilates/trx/circuit studio in the Sugarhouse neighborhood, and I love this high intensity reformer practice. The owner Stephanie Wiley and the rest of the teachers are so nice and positive, so this is a great place for me to join the staff. Come check it out!
