I don't want to live a life that only exists on the surface, or asks me to dim my light for the comfort of others.
I choose to live a life that is continuously evolving, as I meet the versions of myself I am growing into. I find meaning in the excavation of the in-between moments - after the old story has fallen apart, but before the new one arrives.

As a writer, I’m drawn to language that feels lived-in—honest, poignant, and grounded. And at times, provoking and gently confrontational. I love the emotion behind words, and how a well-crafted sentence has the power to stop a reader in their tracks with an instantaneous understanding. Like a coup de foudre between your heart and your inner knowing. Good writing is intimate and vulnerable, and holds space for the truths our heart wants to speak, but doesn't have the courage to say out loud.
As a yogi and a yoga teacher, my practice focuses on the yoga of life, off the mat. Sure, its cool to make shapes with your body and there are many physical and mental benefits from practicing yoga asana. But yoga, for me, is more about learning how to stay anchored in each present moment, and cultivating a steadfastness of our mind and thoughts, even in chaos. Yoga offers us freedom, clarity, and a framework to make sense of our lived experiences off the mat.
As a podcaster, I explore thoughtful + raw conversations around wellness, spirituality, community, entrepreneurship, and what it means to be human. I’m interested in what happens when we give ourselves permission to stop performing and to start speaking our truth. What are we longing to share about ourselves, and how do we build meaningful connections with others? Being seen and valued is the greatest currency in the landscape of identity + belonging, and that becomes possible when we open up about where we have been, and who we are still becoming.
I am an author, speaker, podcast host, and yoga teacher whose work centers around identity, resilience, radical self-inquiry, personal development, and self-fulfillment. Lived experience is the backbone of my work, and I guide others through thoughtful self-reflections to unravel outgrown thoughts, patterns and behaviors.
Originally from the US, I currently live in the Scandinavian Alps of Hemsedal, Norway with my husband, son, and husky dog.
In my 20's and 30's, my life revolved around practicing and teaching yoga. I left my career in the legal field to chase my dreams, and began teaching full-time. I have taught and presented at large yoga events in the US and Europe, like the Bhakti Fest, Sedona Yoga Festival, Yoga Games, Helsinki Yoga Festival, Arctic Yoga Conference, and many others. A lot of exciting opportunities and interesting people crossed my path during this time, and it always reminds me to let passion fuel my purpose. For several years I worked as an ambassador for brands like Lululemon, Manduka, and Ahnu, and was a fit model for Alo.
In 2015 I founded the Atman Yoga School to educate students and provide yoga teacher certifications in yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, self-inquiry, and mindful living. From 2018-2024 I hosted the One Sacred Pause podcast, which featured real + raw conversations about yoga, wellness, and entrepreneurship. In 2023 I published my first book, Holistisk Livsstil, an ayurvedic lifestyle guide. I am currently working on my second book, Big Jupiter, which is a memoir of shifting identities, self-love, and finding peace in the home of your heart.
My story has unfolded through mind-bending plot twists, featuring both incredible highs and painful lows. My human lifetime-achievement video reel might include snippets from: randomly meeting my husband on a chairlift while skiing in Zermatt; the life-changing power of deep female friendship; surviving Synovial Sarcoma - a rare and aggressive form of cancer; immigrating to a new country; and the dystopian experience of becoming a mother during the Covid pandemic. Or maybe the reel would show the years of heart, vision, and drive it took to build a successful business, only to witness the slow death of that dream as I slid sideways into the darkness of mental illness. After a traumatic birth and years of postpartum depression, anxiety, PTSD and OCD, my life was profoundly reshaped.
Today, these experiences infuse and influence my writing, teaching, and podcasting— as an honest exploration of what happens when life forces us (invites us?) to reconsider who we are, and who we are still becoming.
But underneath it all, my innate optimism remains strong. I have a core belief that everything is pure potential, just waiting to become alchemized into the most magnificent outcome. The human mind is fascinating, but too often we allow ourselves to default into self-edit mode by playing it safe and staying small, bypassing the possibility of stepping into our highest calling and purpose. I want to challenge that mindset. I think, that on any given day, the best part is just around the corner. And if I can get out of my own way, my wildest dreams just might come true. Yours too.
